CUT BY CUT
(by lead singer Fred Andrews)

Something to Believe In – (Andrews/Harrison) Special Fred Music (ASCAP) Paper Napkin (BMI) I think we all need something to believe in and somewhere to belong. I need people to sing the songs I write and people need me to sing my songs. It gives us all something to believe in.

March of Life – (Andrews/Harrison) Special Fred Music (ASCAP) Paper Napkin (BMI) I had several friends, including co-writer Seth Harrison, that were going through some life changes and career changes when I started writing this song. It seems we are taught to graduate from school, get a job, get married, have kids, and then retire. Not many people take chances, which is OK. However, I think there are regrets with not taking chances and not following your dreams. Doing what I do is a dream. It seems that so many friends and acquaintances tell me their dreams. They wanted to be actors, singers, dancers and other risky professions. But for some reasons, good or bad, they decided to go the safe route. We only have one shot at this life and regrets should not be a part of it.

I’m Here – (Andrews) Special Fred Music (ASCAP) I’m not much into church, but I am pretty spiritual. I have never written a Christian song until now. So here is what this song is about: God is here at all times, when we are down and when we are up, loving us the same and always keeping a loving, watchful eye over us. That is what unconditional love is all about.

8 Roses – (Addison/Singh) Manico Music (ASCAP) Living in Austin, TX, you pass one of these guys every day on the side of the road. He is not asking for handouts. He is trying to make a living as a roadside businessman by selling roses wrapped in cellophane from a plastic bucket. Next time you see one of these hard working businessmen, stop and buy a rose for someone special.

Never Forget You – (Andrews/ Neuhauser) Special Fred Music (ASCAP) Cooke's Trust Limited This song pretty much tells the story from cover to cover. My family moved around several time while I was growing up and everyone knows someone who moved away. So it’s kind of a universal theme. Let’s stay out all night, our last night together in this town. Something you don’t want to miss and you will never forget. Who cares if you get grounded, you will be in a new town with no friends anyway.

My Turn to Hear You Cry – (Andrews/Neuhauser) Special Fred Music (ASCAP) Cooke's Trust Limited Girls, if you’re going to cheat on us, don’t cheat with our best friends. Not much good comes out of this. You ruin a circle of friends and most likely won’t be with our friend for very long. Also, it was one sure way to show your true colors. This song ends with a happy ending for everyone, except for you.

One Heart Ain’t Enough – (Andrews/Addison) Special Fred Music (ASCAP) Manico Music (ASCAP) It takes two hearts for a happy relationship. No matter how big one of them might be, it won’t work out without both of them.

New Friends – (Carter/Hanson/Person/Schatz) All Good Girls Go To Heaven (BMI) This song is about a person who thinks that they are trading up for better friends. Friends that are in the right crowds, drive the right cars, and can help move them up the social ladder. In reality, you have to stick with the ones that got you there.

This Time – (Addison) Artifact (ASCAP) This is a love song to someone who lost their love, and a promise that it won’t happen to you this time.

Tonight – (McCormack/Weeden) Matso Tunes (BMI) Albedamned Music (ASCAP) It’s you and me against the world. Together, if we believe in each other, we can make it.
